Welcome to T.A.D Bookkeeping, I started T.A.D Bookkeeping because I saw too many Chicago small businesses struggle through tax season with messy books, missed deductions, and mounting stress. After working in finance and risk, I wanted to make bookkeeping simple, reliable, and affordable. That’s why I created a practice that keeps your books clean, compliant, and CPA-ready—so you can rest easy every tax season.

Hi, I’m Tobias Awuah Dwumaah, founder of T.A.D Bookkeeping.
Before starting this firm, I spent several years in finance and consulting — first as a risk analyst at BP, and later at Accenture, where I worked on complex, multimillion-dollar deals. Along the way, I saw how even large organizations rely on accurate, timely financials to make smart decisions — and how small businesses often struggle to get that same clarity.
That’s what inspired me to launch T.A.D Bookkeeping: to give small business owners in Chicago the same level of reliable, organized financial support big corporations expect, but in a way that’s simple and affordable.
I’m also proud to give back to my community. As a member of the Associate Board of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, I help raise funds to support at-risk youth right here in Chicago.
I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Finance and was fortunate to play basketball as a Division 1 student-athlete — an experience that taught me discipline, teamwork, and persistence, which I now bring to serving my clients.
